Help provide Emergency Aid to people impacted by the tragic earthquakes in Turkey & Syria.
We’ve compiled this list of some Canadian-based Christian charities that are working on the frontlines in the earthquake areas of Turkey and Syria. All of the charities on the list below are already approved to receive grants through the Canadian National Christian Foundation (CNCF) right away. If you already have a Donor Advised Fund at CNCF, log in today to recommend a grant. If you don’t have a Donor Advised Fund, you can open one.

- We also advise that you indicate that your grant is for earthquake relief in Turkey & Syria. Some of these organizations are working in places all over the world.

Canadian Bible Society
Families are taking shelter in churches across the land, and the Bible Society in Turkey is collaborating with local churches to provide provisions for physical needs, as well as comfort from the Word of God during this dark time. Your gift will help change lives by providing booklets filled with God’s hope and comfort, children’s Bibles, New Testaments, and Bible-based trauma healing.
Together, through the grace of God, we can provide His Word and emergency assistance to those facing unimaginable hardships.

When surrounded by rubble, the last thing anyone needs to feel is hunger. Your financial gift will provide assistance for women, men and children trying to survive the aftermath of this natural disaster and its aftershocks.

ERDO
Just a few hours after the earthquake, our partners sent out seven emergency dispatch vehicles including:
- Three mobile hygiene trucks which will bring families needed aid
- One Search & Rescue vehicle which will pick up casualties of the earthquake
- A mobile oven, which will bring emergency food to families
Weather conditions are an issue, with cold and snow impacting our partner’s ability to respond. Relief materials like blankets, clean water, tents, winter clothes and emergency food will be needed.
We are asking for your urgent prayers for the families impacted and for our responding partners.
Gain – Global Aid Network
Through our local partners in both Turkey and Syria, we are providing much-needed items such as food, water, blankets, sleeping bags, tents, heaters, power suppliers (generators, power banks) and winter clothing. GAiN worldwide is responding to the situation together, with GAiN Canada serving as the lead agent for Syria and GAiN Spain serving as the lead agent for Turkey.
Those affected are in desperate need of hope, peace, provision and protection. The need for aid is critical.
We can’t do anything for those who have passed away, but we can be the hands and feet of Jesus to the survivors who are alive, hurting and grieving. We must offer them hope in what really seems like a hopeless situation.

Go and Share Missions Canada
We have set up a new project “Earthquake” for relief work in Syria and Turkey in the wake of the crisis.
Families and children in Syria and Turkey are suffering more than ever due to the massive earthquake. Through our ministry partners, Go and Share Missions Canada has started providing emergency supplies such as blankets, clothes and food to the victims. Furthermore, a team of workers from our ministry partner is preparing to go to the area to help repairing and rebuilding the damaged houses. Please join us to provide care and support to those affected by the earthquake and the aftershocks.
Hope Story
$100: Send an IMMEDIATE DISASTER RELIEF PACKAGE containing one (1) emergency food basket, one (1) quality blanket, and one (1) emergency hygiene kit to feed and comfort ONE FAMILY who suddenly finds themselves homeless after the earthquake.
How does your donation deliver help? A group of Middle Eastern churches, including Hope Story’s Lebanon church partner, have an existing network of reputable suppliers in Syria already mobilized for supplies.
OM – Operation Mobilization
As OM’s partners evaluate where help is needed, further long-term plans will be developed to assist those people who have limited resources. Through established connections and roots in these communities, OM’s partners are able to assess the long term needs in the area and respond accordingly. This approach enables us to engage deeply with people.

Samaritan’s Purse
Samaritan’s Purse is responding to the humanitarian crisis in the aftermath of multiple earthquakes that affected several regions in the Middle East, including Turkey and Syria. Your support enables Samaritan’s Purse to respond in Jesus’ Name by assisting people impacted by the earthquakes.
World Renew
Disaster frequently affects people who are already vulnerable and living in poverty. World Renew exists not only to meet immediate needs, but also to implement a long-term approach that helps prepare families for future disasters.
World Renew is responding to this urgent disaster. We have been working with our local on-ground partner in the region for the last 12 years to provide emergency food, hygiene kits, winter supplies, and other support to refugee and local families.
