John is CEO of Christian Credit Union has been in this role since 2008. Christian Credit Union encourages people to be faithful stewards of the financial resources God has given to them and aspires to be the recognized leader in applying Christian values to financial services. Our Credit Union has partnered with CNCF to promote the work of both the Canadian National Christian Foundation and Financial Discipleship Canada.

He has over 20 years of governance experience on corporate, non-profit and church boards. Currently the Board Chair of Alberta Central (a trade association for all the Credit Unions in Alberta), he previously served as Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee from 2019 to 2023. He is also a board member of Corpath Business Forums, an organization that encourages Christian leaders to pursue excellence in business, life and spirit.

He recently obtained his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has previously completed both a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Alberta.

John and his wife Evelyn have 5 sons, 1 lovely daughter-in-law and 1 grandson whom they all love to bits.
