After completing a BCom Hon at Ottawa U, Wafa began her career with a major trust company in a middle management role and then moved to private wealth estate and trust work. She then became a financial advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy in Ottawa.

Married to Mark, they have three children who directed her focus away from her career and toward their care and Christian Education in Ottawa, where her skills on the Board were used to guide Ottawa Christian School through a large expansion. She is committed to seeing the work of CNCF flourish and contribute where needed.
